About GogoLearn Spanish

Owner & Teacher

¡Hola! I’m Erin. I first fell in love with Spanish while studying abroad in Costa Rica and Chile. I originally planned a career in cybersecurity, earning a degree in Information Security and Intelligence with a minor in Spanish. But while working in the field, I kept looking forward to my after-work Spanish tutoring sessions more than my actual job. That told me everything I needed to know.

I made the switch to teaching and haven’t looked back. For the past 6 years, I’ve taught Spanish to learners of all ages, from preschoolers to high school students to adults and seniors, in public schools, private schools, early education programs, and one-on-one settings.

Today, I get to do a little bit of everything I love: teaching, tutoring, creating resources, and building GogoLearn Spanish.

My teaching philosophy is pretty simple: language learning should be fun, meaningful, and something you actually want to be part of. I use stories, games, songs, comprehensible input, and lots of repetition to help learners understand and use Spanish naturally, no matter their age or starting point.

GogoLearn Spanish is where I bring all of that together. I use what I’ve learned from years in the classroom and with individual students to create Spanish courses and resources that are engaging, approachable, and fun.

From childhood curiosity to lifelong learning, Spanish has a way of opening doors at every age!
