FAQs
Are classes completely in Spanish? I aim to have at least 80% of each class in Spanish. I will use English phrases for clarification as needed and make the necessary adjustments to ensure joyful learning! I use a lot of gestures, props, and cognates (words that sound similar in English and Spanish) to make it easier to understand—I promise it is not as intimidating or as difficult as it may sound!
What ages do you teach? It’s never too early or late to learn a new language! I work with students ranging from ages 2 and up.
How long are sessions? I offer 30-minute sessions for little learners and 60-minute sessions for older kids and adults.
How frequent are sessions? I offer weekly sessions, with the option for some students to participate in two classes each week (depending on availability). A minimum of one session per week is required. Group Sessions: Group session agreements begin with a 12-week commitment, with the option to renew and continue beyond the initial session. Private Tutoring: Private tutoring has no minimum commitment and can be scheduled based on your needs. Adult Education Courses: Adult education courses are 8 weeks long, with one class meeting each week.
Where are sessions held? I travel to early education programs and community centers for adult learning. Tutoring is available virtually or in person at a local library.
How can I support my young learner at home if I don’t know any Spanish? I share free resources with clients and their families to encourage learning Spanish at home—no prior language experience is necessary!
